How about this 1981 Kuwahara KZ frame, serial #K1D0908, that recently went for $830.00 bucks on ebay? Unbelievable. I haven't seen a KZ go for this much before. Glad I already have one:)
As listed on eBay. Sold at $830.00. Item #370464007816
Sorry that it has been so long since I posted anything. To make up for it here is a picture that has absolutely nothing to do with BMX. But they are on bicycles after all:) Click on the above image for a much larger version.
These Impakt Sidehacks have been sold out at Walmart for the longest time. Right now they are in stock and are going for $274.00. Not too big a price to pay for you and your monkey. Get yours now before they are all gone.
Here is a sweet illustration that Bob Haro did way back in 1982 for BMX Plus magazine. Bob was also a featured stunt rider in the movie. He is the one who knocks off the police light as he is riding over the car. Unfortunately, Bob and the other riders were not credited for their work, since they were not SAG members.
Time to go way back in time, all the way back to 1982. When a short little alien with a glowing finger made Kuwahara a household word. Here is an original unrestored E.T. looptail. It appears to be a Model 3009, also known as the Replica model. It looks like it is in amazing shape, and even still has the original powder that covers the tires.
Back in the 80's it was okay to have a mustache and ride an all pink bike. Here is Woody Itson doing his best Magnum, P.I. impersonation, circa 1986. In the backseat of his Porsche is his trademark pink Hutch Trick Star.
Here is something you don't see every day. NBL Elite Pro and Miss Sarasota USA 2009, Donna Snow, standing next to a 1985 Haro Sport. Bike belongs to Greg Terzian who has restored it back to factory specs. Greg is also a talented photographer and took this picture of Donna and his Haro.

...and now for something completely different, a Hutch Trick Star Mini Trick Bike. I can honestly say I have never seen one of these before, and probably never will again. Clown shoes not included.

And the best news is that the serial number is still intact, unlike some of them that have been filed off by bike thieves a long time ago. This one is an authentic Kuwahara. Serial number KGA7 1176.
